Biography
Name’s Vicky Pitmaster, but around here they call me the Exterminatrix. I don’t tiptoe around infestations, I torch ‘em. Bed bugs think they’re tough? Please - I’ve crushed more colonies than I can count. DIY hacks make me laugh, because when I roll up, it’s game over. Straight talk, hard hits, and zero mercy for pests - that’s my brand. Follow me if you want to see what it looks like when bed bugs meet their match.
No. You found a bed bug, not a demolition permit. Put the matches down.
One confirmed bed bug deserves action. It doesn’t tell you whether you’ve caught a lone hitchhiker or discovered the welcoming committee.
Here’s your next move:
1. Capture the little bastard. Seal it in a clear bag or container and get identification from a pest professional or extension expert. A blurry photo and three itchy spots aren’t a verdict.
2. Inspect the ambush sites. Mattress seams, box spring, bed frame and headboard. Look for live bugs, dark fecal spots, shed skins and tiny pale eggs.
3. Don’t give them transportation. Don’t drag the mattress through the house or carry loose bedding into another room. Bag suspect laundry before moving it.
4. Keep the mattress off death row for now. Many belongings can be treated and saved. Throwing everything out can spread the problem while emptying your wallet.
5. Get a treatment plan. Arrange a professional inspection. If you rent, notify your landlord or property manager promptly so the response can be coordinated.
And no homemade flamethrower nonsense. Don’t try heating the room with space heaters, a fireplace or the thermostat. Professional heat treatment is controlled equipment and monitoring, not “let’s see how hot this place gets.”
We’re evicting the bloodsuckers. You get to keep the house.

Hell no, bed bugs can’t fly! These bloodsucking freeloaders are wingless, grounded, and stuck crawling their way through life. They don’t fly, they don’t jump - the only time they’re “airborne” is when they’re hitching a ride in your suitcase on a plane. Don’t give them more credit than they deserve. They may be quick on their feet, but they’re cowards in the dark. And if you’re unlucky enough to find them in your home? Call a pro like me, I’ll show those suckers who’s boss.
They’re not injecting you with Ebola - but don’t relax. Bed bugs wreck your sleep, tank your sanity, and turn your bedroom into a war zone. Mental stress, anxiety, infection from scratching - that’s their calling card. You don’t get sick from the bite, you get sick from the nightmare.
Because these little vampires are built like tanks. They hide in cracks the width of a credit card, go months without feeding, and laugh at half the sprays you buy off the shelf. Killing bed bugs isn’t pest control — it’s combat.
DIY? Please. That’s like bringing a squirt gun to a house fire. Bed bugs don’t read internet hacks - they breed through them. You try baking soda, tea tree oil, or duct-tape traps, and all you’re doing is giving those bloodsuckers time to multiply and laugh at you in the dark.
If you want results, you call in the heavy artillery: pros with heat rigs, chemicals, and zero mercy. Bed bugs don’t die easy - and if you think you’re going to outsmart them with a spray bottle from aisle nine, you’re already losing. Leave the DIY for arts and crafts. When it comes to bed bugs, it’s pro or it’s pointless.
